Once again, the previous year’s result was surpassed!
For the 8th time, the charity dinner “Gemeinsam für Halden” took place on December 1, 2016, at 7:30 PM at the ARCADEON Landhotel Halden. “Gemeinsam für Halden” is a unique initiative by the citizens of Halden and ARCADEON, under the patronage of Claudia and Jörg Bachmann, which completely sponsors all food and ingredients to be processed.
Under the motto “Be(Ge)flügelte Weihnacht” (Winged Christmas), 100 guests enjoyed a fantastic buffet including drinks (the wines were donated by Weinhof Reinhardt). The evening was musically accompanied on the keyboard by Jens Felix Müller, who also waived his fee.
Once again, the donation amount from the previous year was significantly exceeded. The reason for this was a unique auction held that evening. Roberto Oswald, sous chef at ARCADEON, had so much fun cooking with the 15 amateur chefs that he spontaneously offered his services free of charge for an off-site party for 10 people, and ARCADEON Managing Director Jörg Bachmann donated the food. The audience enthusiastically bid, and in the end, the hammer fell at 750 Euros.
The ecumenical youth forum, which relies on donations, was very pleased, as the total proceeds of €4,065.40 – comprising the entrance fees (€2,715.00), the auction, and the waiters’ tips (€600.40), which they completely waived that evening – could now be handed over 100% to the ecumenical youth forum.
In the last 7 years, a total of almost €25,000.00 has been raised for a good cause.
