Restaurant KARLs is named after a great son of the city of Hagen, the art patron Karl Ernst Osthaus.
The innovative design of KARLs is a real eye-catcher! The elaborate lighting installation is custom-made, as is the spectacular image installation behind the buffet area, a tribute to the namesake: a backlit glass wall, nearly 15 meters wide, inspired by the Hohenhof, the former residence of Karl Ernst Osthaus.
Be sure to take a look at the restrooms at KARLs with their extraordinary design – where else do the ladies have their own “chat corner” and the gentlemen can watch the news while washing their hands – winner of the IDA Design Award 2017!
A fresh breeze is also blowing here in culinary terms. Our chef’s team treats you to modern regional cuisine with a touch of extravagance. On the gallery located above KARLs, we serve snacks or a light lunch before or during your conference. The restaurant and gallery can also be booked for celebrations for up to 200 people.
By the way, guests not staying at the hotel are also very welcome at KARLs. Please be sure to reserve a table in advance!
