Walt Disney
Innovation Through Role-Playing
The Walt Disney Method is a creative technique designed to develop creative ideas and assess their feasibility. It is based on three roles that participants assume: the Dreamer, the Realist, and the Critic. Each role provides a specific perspective on the question to be addressed.
In the Dreamer phase, all ideas are collected without restrictions and without regard to feasibility. The goal is to think visionary and find creative solutions. In the role of the Realist, the collected ideas are evaluated for their feasibility and concrete implementation plans are developed. In the Critic phase, the feasibility of the ideas is critically examined to identify and eliminate weaknesses and risks.
The method is particularly suitable for questions that require creative and innovative solutions, such as product development, marketing strategies, or organizational changes.
