Barcamp

Spontaneous Sessions on Participant Topics

A Barcamp offers the opportunity to further your education in a dynamic and open environment, develop innovative ideas, and establish new contacts. It differs from traditional conference formats in that it is not planned in detail in advance – only the general framework is established, and the participants themselves develop the exact agenda on-site.

Every participant has the opportunity to suggest a topic and lead a session or participate in sessions led by other participants. If a topic proposal receives approval from the group, the topic is given a place on the agenda.

The topics are discussed in parallel sessions lasting 45 to 60 minutes. After several rounds of sessions, the event concludes with a feedback round in which impressions and insights from the individual sessions are shared in the plenary. Plans for joint projects and collaborations often emerge.
