FOR HALDEN 2017 – EUR 5,707.50 – last year’s result was once again far exceeded!
For the 9th time, the charity dinner Gemeinsam für Halden took place on December 1, 2017, at 7:30 PM at the ARCADEON Landhotel Halden. “Gemeinsam für Halden” is a unique initiative by the citizens of Halden and ARCADEON, under the patronage of Claudia and Jörg Bachmann, which completely sponsors all food and ingredients to be processed. Under the motto “The World Visits Halden,” 135 guests enjoyed an extraordinary, very delicious buffet including drinks (the wines were donated by Weinhof Reinhardt)
. The evening was musically accompanied on keyboard by Tobi Fechner, who also waived his fee and delighted the guests with his music, even motivating them to sing along.
Once again, the donation amount from the previous year was significantly surpassed. The reason for this was not only the incredibly great atmosphere among the guests, but also a unique auction that brought in additional donations. Jörg Bachmann auctioned off a cooking event for 10 people, including all drinks and ingredients, with Sous Chef Roberto Oswald. The audience enthusiastically bid along, and the hammer fell at 1000 Euros. Another highlight of the evening was the auction of a candlelit dinner in the bell tower of the Friedenskirche in Halden. Pastor Karen Koers and her husband Jürgen put together this special package and offered to cook and serve a delicious 3-course meal for 2 in the bell tower. This, actually priceless and extraordinary event, brought in an additional donation of EUR 300. This delighted
the ecumenical youth forum, which relies on donations, because now the total proceeds of EUR 5,707.50 – consisting of the entrance fees (EUR 3,570), the auction, and the waiters’ tips (EUR 837.50), which they also completely waived that evening – could be handed over 100% to the ecumenical youth forum.
Thus, in the last 9 years, more than EUR 30,500 have been raised for a good cause.
