In collaboration with Imkerei my-Bienen.de in Hagen, natural beekeeping is ensured!
No artificial insemination of queen bees and no wing clipping of queen bees. We also do not use genetically modified honey bees. Our hives are made from natural wood. Rusty objects are not to be found in our beehives either – all metal parts in the beehive are made of stainless steel. In the fight against the Varroa mite, a bee pest introduced from East Asia, we deliberately rely on organic acids. Depending on the season, mite infestation and bee colony, we treat with 15% ad us. vet. lactic acid, 60% ad us. vet. formic acid and 3.5% ad us. vet. oxalic acid – these acids already occur naturally (in low concentrations) in food.
We are very much looking forward to the first harvest!
