HohensyburgThe ruin of the Castle Hohensyburg sits on its throne overlooking the Ruhr valley. It comes close to the "classical" image of a knight's castle, even though little remains of it. The plateau Hohensyburg lies above the estuary of the Lenne and Ruhr rivers in Dortmund. Only a few metres away from the internationally famous casino lie the ruins of the medieval stone castle. Nearby you will also find the Vincke tower and the Kaiser-Wilhelm memorial. From there you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Ruhr valley.
